Abstract

Self-medication is part of the community's efforts to maintain their own health. Youtube video media can be used for self medication in finding general information about drugs and their use. This study aims to describe the level of public knowledge about self-medication for diarrheal diseases through youtube videos. This study uses a quantitative descriptive type of pre-experimental approach with a quantitative one group pretest-posttest design, with the instrument using a questionnaire and to determine the sample using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used in this research is Univariate Analysis which is done computerized. The results showed. The level of public knowledge before education about self-medication of diarrhea through youtube videos got the category "Enough" with a percentage (75%) and the level of knowledge after education about self-medication of diarrhea through youtube videos got the category "Good" with a percentage (78.54%). Increased public knowledge about self-medication of diarrhea through youtube videos there is an increase in knowledge with a percentage of (3.54%).
