Abstract

Global nutritional problems continue to be a big concern, especially in several developing countries, one of which is Indonesia, namely the nutritional problems of stunting, wasting and overweight. Diet is a factor related to children's growth and development and can influence nutritional status. This research aims to describe the eating patterns and nutritional status of toddlers in Singkup Village, Purbaratu District, Tasikmalaya City. This type of research was descriptive. The sample for this study consisted of 30 toddlers aged 6-59 months, using a random sampling technique with 30 toddlers. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. Data collection was carried out through anthropometric measurements and interviews using a 2x 24 hour food recall form. The results of the study showed that 100% of toddlers' eating patterns were not diverse, the frequency of eating in the good category was 73.3%. The total energy intake of toddlers is in the severe deficit category at 53.3%, protein intake in the severe category is 63.3%, fat intake is in the normal category at 33.3% and carbohydrate intake is in the severe deficit category at 46 .7%. The nutritional status of toddlers in Singkup Village based on BW/U is 83.3% having normal BW. The nutritional status of toddlers based on PB/U or TB/U is 56.7%, they have normal nutritional status and the nutritional status based on BB/PB or BB/TB is 90.0%, they have good nutrition. It is recommended for mothers of toddlers to pay more attention to the amount and type of food consumed daily and provide variety in food so that the child likes it and can improve the child's diet.
