Abstract
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) merupakan gangguan fungsi ginjal secara progresif dan irreversible dimana kemampuan tubuh tidak mampu mempertahankan metabolisme serta keseimbangan cairan dan elektrolit . This disease can be fatal if replacement therapy is not immediately carried out, because it can result in failure of kidney function to maintain metabolism and electrolytes in the body. The aim of this research is to determine the description of eating patterns which include the type of food and amount of food in patients with Chronic Kidney Failure with Hemodialysis. The design of this research is descriptive using consecutive sampling methods and non-probability sampling techniques. Sixty patients met the inclusion and exclusion criteria with 33 female respondents and 27 male respondents. All respondents were interviewed using the SQ-FFQ method. The results of this study show that the eating pattern with the highest number of food types is 35 people (58%), the number of foods based on energy intake is the highest, namely the mild level deficit category, 19 people (32%), and the number of foods based on protein intake is the highest. many, namely the severe level deficit category, as many as 20 people (33%). In conclusion: for the type of food category, hemodialysis chronic kidney failure patients already understand what foods are allowed and what are not allowed, while regarding the amount of food based on energy and protein requirements, most patients do not understand the amount that should be consumed every day.
