Abstract

FINA NURASYFA. Description of Parenting Patterns and Providing MPASI to Stunting Baduts in Villages Locations Stunting Cisayong District, Regency Tasikmalaya in 2024 ABSTRACT Stunting is a nutritional problem that occurs as a result of a lack of nutrients for a long time. According to the WHO Child Growth Standard, stunting is based on the body length index for age (PB/U) or height for age (TB/U) with a limit (2-score) of less than -2 SD. One of the indirect factors of stunting is parenting patterns and providing complementary foods. The research was conducted to determine the description of parenting patterns and provision of MP ASI to stunted toddlers aged 6-24 months in priority locations for implementing programs and activities to accelerate the reduction of stunning, Cisayong District, Tasikmalaya Regency. This type of research is a descriptive experiment. The population in this study were all ztoring toddlers aged 6-24 months residing in Cisayong Village, Sukajadi Village, Sukasukur Village and Sukaharja Village. Determining the sample in this study used purposive zampling and obtained 30 respondents. Data collection was carried out by measuring the body length of the toddler, filling out a parenting style questionnaire and providing MP ASI. The results of the research show that stunting is in the sruued category of 15 (50%) and severely stunted of 15 (50%), parental parenting patterns are in the poor category, namely 18 respondents (60%) and in the good category 12 respondents. (40%). Providing MP ASI was good for 28 respondents (93%) and 2 respondents (7%) in the poor category. It is recommended that parents pay attention to the growth and development of toddlers by taking their children for weighing, immunization and appropriate feeding.
