Abstract
Chronic Kidney Failure (CKD) has become a health problem that has the 20th highest mortality rate in the world. The result of the prevalence of Tasikmalaya City with CKD is 0.2%. Chronic renal failure is a progressive and irreversible impairment of kidney function, resulting in a high increase in ureum and creatinine in the body. Risk factors for CKD are hypertension, diabetes mellitus, glomerulonephritis, and kidney stones. This study was conducted to determine the protein intake and nutritional status of chronic renal failure patients with hemodialysis therapy at UPTDK RSUD dr. Soekardjo Tasikmalaya City. This type of research is descriptive research. The population in this study were all chronic renal failure patients who were undergoing hemodialysis totaling 60 respondents. sampling was done by consecutive sampling method. data collection using primary data obtained by 2x24 hour food recall interviews and the results of filling out the Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) screening, measurement of Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) and secondary data obtained from medical records. The results of this study showed that most patients with GGK with hemodialysis had inadequate protein intake. Nutritional status according to SGA screening is at risk of malnutrition, while based on %LILA is undernourished and malnourished.
