Abstract
Latar Belakang: Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan fisik, perkembangan kognitif, dan produktivitas anak di masa depan. Salah satu upaya pencegahan dan penanggulangan stunting adalah melalui Kelas Ibu Balita yang bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu dalam pemenuhan gizi serta pengasuhan anak. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh keikutsertaan Kelas Ibu Balita terhadap perubahan nilai Z-score Tinggi Badan menurut Umur (TB/U) pada balita stunting di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas DTP Suranenggala Kabupaten Cirebon periode tahun 2023–2025. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif observasional analitik dengan pendekatan retrospektif pretest-posttest menggunakan data sekunder. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 38 balita stunting yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari SIGIZI KESGA, Buku KIA, kohort balita, dan laporan program Kelas Ibu Balita. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat. Uji normalitas menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test dengan tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal (p > 0,05). Hasil: Sebagian besar ibu berusia 20–35 tahun (92,1%), berpendidikan SMP (36,8%), bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga (89,5%), dan primipara (63,2%). Rata-rata nilai Z-score TB/U sebelum mengikuti Kelas Ibu Balita adalah -2,8989 ± 0,50066 dan meningkat menjadi -1,4116 ± 0,41974 setelah mengikuti Kelas Ibu Balita. Hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test menunjukkan mean difference sebesar -1,48737, nilai t = -21,557, dan p < 0,001, yang menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara nilai Z-score TB/U sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti Kelas Ibu Balita. Kesimpulan: Keikutsertaan Kelas Ibu Balita berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan nilai Z-score TB/U pada balita stunting di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas DTP Suranenggala Kabupaten Cirebon. Background: Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that adversely affects children's physical growth, cognitive development, and future productivity. One of the interventions implemented to prevent and reduce stunting is the Toddler Mother Class program, which aims to improve mothers' knowledge and skills regarding child nutrition, childcare practices, and growth monitoring. Objective: To determine the effect of participation in Toddler Mother Classes on changes in Height-for-Age Z-Score (HAZ) among stunted children in the working area of UPT Puskesmas DTP Suranenggala, Cirebon Regency, during 2023–2025. Methods: This study employed a quantitative analytic observational design with a retrospective pretest-posttest approach using secondary data. A total of 38 stunted children were selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained from the SIGIZI KESGA system, Maternal and Child Health books, child cohort records, and Toddler Mother Class reports. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and Paired Sample t-Test at a significance level of 0.05. Results: Most mothers were aged 20–35 years (92.1%), had junior high school education (36.8%), were housewives (89.5%), and were primiparous (63.2%). The mean HAZ score increased from -2.8989 ± 0.50066 before participation to -1.4116 ± 0.41974 after participation in the Toddler Mother Class program. The Paired Sample t-Test showed a mean difference of -1.48737, t = -21.557, and p < 0.001, indicating a statistically significant difference in HAZ scores before and after participation. Conclusion: Participation in Toddler Mother Classes significantly improved Height-for-Age Z-Scores among stunted children, indicating better linear growth status. Therefore, the Toddler Mother Class program can be considered an effective strategy to support stunting reduction efforts.
