Abstract
KEMENTRIAN KESEHATAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA POLITEKNIK KESEHATAN KEMENKES TASIKMALAYA PROGRAM STUDI DIPLOMA III KEPERAWATAN CIREBON Karya Tulis Ilmiah Mei 2026 Implementasi Pemberian Jus Tomat Pada Pasien Dengan Masalah Keperawatan Perfusi Perifer Tidak Efektif Akibat Hipertensi Di Ruang Diponegoro RSUD Arjawinangun Kabupaten Cirebon Chindy Damayanti¹, Agus Nurdin², Komarudin³ ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang menjadi masalah kesehatan global dan dapat menyebabkan berbagai komplikasi, salah satunya perfusi perifer tidak efektif. Penanganan hipertensi dapat dilakukan secara farmakologis maupun nonfarmakologis. Salah satu terapi nonfarmakologis yang dapat digunakan yaitu pemberian jus tomat karena mengandung likopen dan kalium yang berperan dalam membantu menurunkan tekanan darah. Tujuan: studi kasus ini adalah melaksanakan implementasi pemberian jus tomat pada pasien dengan masalah keperawatan perfusi perifer tidak efektif akibat hipertensi. Metode: Desain Karya Tulis Ilmiah ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada dua pasien hipertensi dengan masalah keperawatan perfusi perifer tidak efektif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik, dan studi dokumentasi. Implementasi pemberian jus tomat dilakukan selama 5 hari berturut-turut sesuai prosedur pemberian terapi. Hasil: Setelah dilakukan implementasi pemberian jus tomat selama 5 hari menunjukkan adanya penurunan tekanan darah pada kedua pasien. Selain itu, terjadi perbaikan kondisi perfusi perifer yang ditandai dengan berkurangnya keluhan pusing, nyeri tengkuk, serta pasien tampak lebih rileks dan nyaman. Hasil observasi menunjukkan tekanan darah pasien mengalami penurunan secara bertahap setelah pemberian jus tomat. Kesimpulan: Pemberian jus tomat dapat membantu menurunkan tekanan darah dan memperbaiki kondisi perfusi perifer pada pasien hipertensi sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai terapi komplementer nonfarmakologis dalam pengelolaan hipertensi. Saran: Pasien hipertensi diharapkan mampu menerapkan konsumsi jus tomat secara teratur sebagai terapi pendamping untuk membantu mengontrol tekanan darah dan meningkatkan kondisi kesehatan. Hypertension management can be carried out pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be used is tomato juice administration because it contains lycopene and potassium which play a role in helping to reduce blood pressure. Objective: This case study aimed to implement tomato juice administration in patients with nursing problems of ineffective peripheral perfusion due to hypertension. Methods: The design of this scientific paper used a qualitative method with a case study approach involving two hypertensive patients with nursing problems of ineffective peripheral perfusion. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation studies. The implementation of tomato juice administration was conducted for 5 consecutive days according to the therapy procedure. Results: After the implementation of tomato juice administration for 5 days, there was a decrease in blood pressure in both patients. In addition, there was an improvement in peripheral perfusion conditions characterized by reduced complaints of dizziness, neck pain, and patients appearing more relaxed and comfortable. Observation results showed that the patients' blood pressure gradually decreased after tomato juice administration. Conclusion: Tomato juice administration can help reduce blood pressure and improve peripheral perfusion conditions in hypertensive patients, so it can be used as a complementary non-pharmacological therapy in hypertension management. Suggestion: Hypertensive patients are expected to consume tomato juice regularly as a complementary therapy to help control blood pressure and improve health conditions.
