Abstract
This condition can cause patients to talk to themselves, daydream, have difficulty concentrating, and withdraw from social environments. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be given to help control hallucinations is occupational drawing therapy. Objective: The aim of this study is to implement occupational therapy drawing and evaluate patient responses to reducing signs and symptoms of auditory hallucinations in two patients at the Gramesia Home, Cirebon Regency. Method: The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects consisted of two patients diagnosed with auditory hallucinations who met the inclusion criteria. Occupational drawing therapy was carried out for 5 days by observing the patient's progress every day. Results: The results showed that both patients experienced a decrease in signs and symptoms of hallucinations after occupational drawing therapy. The patient appears calmer, there is a reduction in self-talking, pacing, and the patient's ability to express feelings through pictures increases. Mr. H shows faster development than Mr. A because he has better interest and drawing skills. Conclusion: Occupational drawing therapy is effective in helping to reduce signs and symptoms of auditory hallucinations and increase the patient's ability to control hallucinations. Suggestion: Occupational drawing therapy can be used as a non-pharmacological supporting therapy in psychiatric nursing services for patients with auditory hallucinations.
