Abstract
Auditory hallucinations are one of the most common symptoms experienced by patients with schizophrenia and can interfere with perception, thinking processes, and behavior. This final nursing scientific project aimed to describe the application of dhikr therapy and drawing therapy in reducing the signs and symptoms of auditory hallucinations among patients with schizophrenia in the working area of Purbaratu Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. Dhikr therapy is a psychoreligious intervention that helps improve calmness and self-control, while drawing therapy is an activity therapy that enables patients to express their feelings and divert attention from hallucinatory stimuli. The method used was a case study involving two patients with schizophrenia who experienced sensory perception disturbances: auditory hallucinations. The interventions were conducted over three home visits through the implementation of dhikr therapy and drawing therapy. The results showed a reduction in the signs and symptoms of hallucinations in both patients. The hallucination score of Mr. H decreased from 15 to 8, while that of Mr. O decreased from 18 to 13. In addition, the patients appeared calmer, showed improved concentration, demonstrated reduced self-talking behavior, and were better able to control their hallucinations. In conclusion, the application of dhikr therapy and drawing therapy helped reduce the signs and symptoms of auditory hallucinations in patients with schizophrenia and can be used as a supportive intervention in psychiatric nursing care. It is recommended that patients and families continue these therapies independently and that healthcare providers integrate them as complementary interventions alongside pharmacological treatment in mental health services. Keywords: dhikr therapy, drawing therapy, auditory hallucinations, schizophrenia.
