Abstract

PENGARUH KEPATUHAN MINUM TABLET FE TERHADAP KADAR HEMOGLOBIN (HB) PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI MA ASY-SYIFA GARUT Eva Sri Agustin Politeknik Kesehatan Tasikmalaya Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Kebidanan Email: evasriagustin505@gmail.com ABSTRAK Anemia pada remaja putri masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang cukup tinggi, terutama akibat kekurangan zat besi. Kata Kunci: Kepatuhan, Tablet Fe, Hemoglobin The Effect of Compliance in Taking Iron (Fe) Tablets on Hemoglobin (Hb) Levels Among Adolescent Girls at MA Asy-Syifa Garut Eva Sri Agustin Health Polytechnic of the Health Tasikmalaya Applied Bachelor of Midwifery Program Email: evasriagustin505@gmail.com ABSTRACT Anemia among adolescent girls remains a significant health problem, especially due to iron deficiency. This condition may cause decreased concentration, fatigue, growth disorders, and reduced productivity in adolescents. One of the government’s efforts to prevent anemia is the provision of iron supplementation tablets (Fe tablets). However, the success of this program is strongly influenced by the level of adolescents’ compliance in consuming Fe tablets regularly. This study aimed to determine the effect of compliance in taking Fe tablets on hemoglobin (Hb) levels among adolescent girls at MA Asy-Syifa Garut. This study used a quantitative method with an analytic observational design using a prospective cohort approach and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 40 adolescent girls selected using a total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through observation sheets, Fe tablet consumption monitoring cards, compliance questionnaires, and hemoglobin examinations before and after the 12-week intervention period. Data analysis was performed using the Paired T-Test and Chi-Square test. The results showed that most respondents were categorized as compliant in consuming Fe tablets, namely 22 respondents (55%), while 18 respondents (45%) were categorized as non-compliant. The mean hemoglobin level before the intervention was 11.2 g/dL and increased to 12.4 g/dL after the intervention. The Paired T-Test analysis showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant increase in hemoglobin levels after Fe tablet administration. The Chi-Square test also showed a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between compliance in taking Fe tablets and hemoglobin levels among adolescent girls. In conclusion, compliance in taking Fe tablets has a significant effect on increasing hemoglobin levels among adolescent girls at MA Asy-Syifa Garut. The better the compliance of adolescents in consuming Fe tablets, the better the increase in hemoglobin levels achieved, thereby reducing the risk of anemia.
