Abstract
Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang disebabkan karena pankreas tidak menghasilkan cukup insulin atau tubuh tidak dapat menggunakan insulin yang dihasilkannya secara efektif. Di Rumah Sakit Ciremai persentase diabetes melitus ini tergolong tinggi yaitu 6,4%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asupan karbohidrat kompleks, lemak dan kadar gula darah pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe II di Rumah Sakit Ciremai. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptive observasional dengan rancangan penelitian case study dan menggunakan teknik analisis univariat. Jumlah responden ini sebanyak 2 orang. Data asupan karbohidrat kompleks dan lemak didapatkan dengan wawancara langsung menggunakan metode food recall 1x24 jam dan penimbangan langsung dengan metode food weighing 1x24 jam selama 3 hari, serta data kadar gula darah didapatkan dari data rekam medis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden 1 dan 2 memiliki asupan karbohidrat sebesar 91% dan 73%, asupan karbohidrat kompleks responden 1 masuk dalam kategori defisit berat dengan persentase 62% yang diperoleh dari makanan RS sebesar 35% dan makanan LRS sebesar 26%. Asupan karbohidrat responden 2 sebesar 50% yang diperoleh dari makanan RS sebesar 47% dan makanan LRS sebesar 3%. sedangkan asupan lemak kedua responden masuk dalam kategori normal dengan persentase 62% dan 50%. Simpulan penelitian ini kadar gula darah pada kedua responden selama 3 hari intervensi terjadi penurunan, diduga karena adanya peningkatan dan penurunan asupan karbohidrat kompleks dan lemak sesuai dengan kebutuhan, serta adanya faktor lain yaitu pemberian obat. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the body not being able to effectively use the insulin it produces. At Ciremai Hospital, the prevalence of diabetes mellitus is relatively high, at 6.4%. This study aimed to determine the intake of complex carbohydrates, fats, and blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus at Ciremai Hospital. This was a descriptive, observational study with a case study design and univariate analysis techniques. Two respondents participated. Data on complex carbohydrate and fat intake were obtained through direct interviews using a 24-hour food recall method and direct weighing using a 24-hour food weighing method for 3 days. Blood sugar levels were also obtained from medical records. The results showed that respondents 1 and 2 had carbohydrate intakes of 91% and 73%, respectively. Respondent 1's complex carbohydrate intake fell into the severe deficit category, with 62% obtained from hospital food (35%) and non-hospital food (26%). Respondent 2's carbohydrate intake was 50%, obtained from hospital food (47%) and non-hospital food (3%). Meanwhile, the fat intake of both respondents was in the normal category with percentages of 62% and 50%. The conclusion of this study is that blood sugar levels in both respondents during the 3-day intervention decreased, presumably due to an increase and decrease in complex carbohydrate and fat intake according to needs, as well as other factors, namely the administration of medication.
