Abstract
Anemia is when the body has too few red blood cells or Hb levels <11 gr/dl. Anemia has an impact on fetal and maternal complications, one of the factors that influences the incidence of anemia in pregnant women is knowledge and age. The aim is to determine the relationship between knowledge and age and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Sambongpari Health Center. Method: This type of research uses (cross sectional) and a google form questionnaire as data collection. The sampling technique uses the proportional random sampling method, the number of samples is 117. Data analysis used a quantitative approach. Results: At the Sambongpari Health Center, there were 96 pregnant women with good knowledge (82.1%), 18 people with sufficient knowledge (15.4%) and 3 people with poor knowledge (2.6%). As for age, there were 90 people (76.9%) pregnant women aged between 20-35 years, 3 pregnant women aged <20 years (2.6%) and 24 pregnant women aged> 35 years (20.5%). Anemia category there are 86 pregnant women (73.5%) who are not anemic and 31 people (25.5%) who have anemia. The results of statistical tests on the relationship between knowledge and anemia obtained a p value of 0.000 <0.05 and the category of age and anemia relationship obtained a p value of 0.003 <0.05. The conclusion of pregnant women at the Sambongpari Health Center was obtained with the results of statistical tests that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, there is a relationship between knowledge and the incidence of anemia where knowledge is sufficient and more or less at risk of experiencing anemia and there is a relationship between age and anemia where pregnant women aged <20 or >35 years are at higher risk of experiencing anemia.
