Abstract
Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an infection of the respiratory tract that causes symptoms of cough, runny nose, accompanied by fever. ISPA is very contagious and can be experienced by anyone, especially children and the elderly.Rational use of antibiotics is antibiotics that are selective against infecting microorganisms and are effective in destroying infecting microorganisms.the consecquences of administering antibiotics incorrectly can result in several negative impacts, one of which is bacterial resistance to antibiotics. This study aims to determine the description of the use of antibiotics in acute respiratory infections (ISPA) at the Tawang Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative with sample selection using the purposive sampling method. Data were obtained from patient medical records.There were 263 samples that met the inclusion criteria. Based on research that found that the use of antibiotics in ISPA sufferers at the Tawang Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City, it can be concluded that the majority of patients suffering from ISPA were aged 0-5 years (toddlers) at 70%. male is 54%. The majority of patients suffering from ARI received the antibiotic drug amoxicicilin, 90%, penicillin, 91%, amoxicicilin dose of 125mg/5ml, namely 375 mg, (49%). Most patients received antibiotics in the form of syrup, 66%.
