Abstract
Overweight is a condition where a person's body weight exceeds the ideal or expected body weight. Consuming enough vegetables and fruits can help the body's metabolism process and improve the immune system. Screen time can decrease the physical activity levels of adolescents and lead to uncontrolled, unhealthy eating habits. This study aims to describe the consumption of vegetables, fruits, and screen time among overweight adolescents at SMAN 1 Singaparna, Singaparna District, Tasikmalaya Regency. This type of research is descriptive. The population of this study is overweight adolescents, with a sample size of 40 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, SQ-FFQ interviews, and anthropometric measurements. The data were analyzed descriptively. Vegetable consumption among students was 55%, while fruit consumption among respondents was 67% , and the consumption of vegetables and fruits is 40% below the recommended guidelines. Of respondents' screen time was categorized as high screen time (HST) with 39 people (97.5%), and only 1 respondent (2.5%) fell into the low screen time (LST) category. Students should reduce screen time to less than two hours a day, pay more attention to their diet, and ensure sufficient nutrient intake. Parents also must provide balanced meals and ensure adequate and varied vegetable and fruit intake at every meal.
