Abstract
According to data from the Tasikmalaya City Health Service, Suka Asih Village has a stunting prevalence of 21.74% and is one of the stunting loci in Purbaratu District. One of the indirect causes of stunting in toddlers is the availability of food in the family. The availability of sufficient food in the family is influenced by family expenditure, including expenditure on cigarettes and quotas. This research was conducted to determine the picture of food availability, cigarette expenses and quotas among families of stunted toddlers in Suka Asih Village, Purbaratu District, Tasikmalaya City. This type of research is descriptive research. The population in the study was all 70 families of stunted toddlers in Suka Asih Village. The number of samples in the study was 30 families of stunted toddlers. Data collection was carried out through filling out questionnaires and interviews. The research results show that food availability in families of stunted toddlers is 17% in the food insecure category without hunger and 83% in the food insecure category with moderate hunger. Cigarette expenses for families of stunted toddlers in the sufficient category (Rp. Rp. 15,000-30,000) are 30% and excessive (> Rp. 30,000) are 70%. Quota costs are less (< Rp. 50,000) by 17%, good (Rp. 50,000-100,000) by 27% and excess (>Rp. 100,000) by 56%. Keywords: Food Availability, Family Expenditures, Stunting
