Abstract
Globally, the number one cause of death is cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease is a disease caused by impaired heart and blood vessel function, such as Coronary Heart Disease (CHD), heart failure disease, hypertension and stroke. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015, 17.7 million people in the world died from cardiovascular disease or 31% of deaths worldwide. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, 2018 the prevalence of heart disease in Indonesia reached 1.5% in the population of all ages. In West Java Province, the prevalence of coronary heart disease is 186,809 people or around 1.6%. The number of CHD cases at Jasa Kartini Hospital in Tasikmalaya City in 2022 was 194 people..This study aims to determine the description of nutrition-related knowledge and dietary compliance in coronary heart disease patients at Jasa Kartini Hospital, Tasikmalaya City.This research is descriptive research.With the number of patients is 30 patients.Data collection was done by interviewing and filling out questionnaires. From this research, it can be seen that the level of knowledge related to nutrition and the level of dietary compliance of the majority of respondents are in the good category (73.3%) and adhere to dietary regulations (70%). The conclusion is that CHD patients undergoing outpatient treatment at Jasa Kartini Hospital, Tasikmalaya City already have Good knowledge to support diet management so that respondents tend to follow the diet according to recommendations.
