Abstract

Bayi Berat LebihRendah (BBLR) masih merupakan masalah di dunia karena penyebabkesakitan dan kematian pada masa bayi baru lahir . BBLR cenderung mengalami masalah yangbervariasi hal ini harus diantisipasi dan dikelola pada masa neonatal, adapun masalah yang terjadisalah satunya adalah hipotermi.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan metode plastikpolyethylenedengan metode konvensional terhadap perubahan suhu pada BBLR.Desain penelitianyang digunakan adalahquasi eksperimentalrancangan penelitian yang dilakukan adalahnonequivalent control group,dilakukan dua kali observasi yaitu sebelum diberi perlakuan dansesudah diberi perlakuan pada dua kelompok.Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua BBLR diRumah Sakit SMC Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Teknik pemilihansampel dilakukan menggunakanmetodenon probability samplingdengan teknikaccidental samplingsebanyak 40 responden.Hasiluji statistik menggunakanindependent t-testdiperoleh t hitung sebesar 3.497 dan t-tabel (df = 38)2.024.Besarnya nilai signifikansi p 0,001. Karena t hitung 3.497 > t tabel 2.024 dan sig. 0.001 <0.05, berarti ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara perlakuan metode konvensional dan perlakuanplastikpolyethylene.Rata-rata suhu pada metode konvensional adalah36.305 dan rata-rata suhu pada metode plastikpolyethyleneadalah 36.65.Kata Kunci: BBLR, Suhu Bayi, PlastikPolyethylene,Metode KonvensionalABSTRACTLow Birth Weight (LBW) infant is still a problem in the world due to the causes of morbidityand mortality in the newborn. LBW is prone to varied problems that should be anticipated andmanaged in the neonatal period. The problems that occur one of them is hypothermia.The purposeof this research is to know the difference of polyethylene plastic methodwith conventional methodto temperature change on LBW.The type of research is a quasi-experiments and design of theresearch is nonequivalent control group, twice observations were performed before being treatedand after being treated in two groups. Population in this research is all LBW at SMCHospital ofTasikmalayaDistric, sample selection technique isusing non probability sampling method withaccidental sampling technique counted 40 respondents.The result of Statistical test usingindependent t-testobtained t-count equal to 3,497 and t-table (df = 38) 2,024. The P value ofsignificance 0,001. Because t count 3.497> t table 2.024 and P value 0.001 <0.05, that meaningthere is a significant difference between conventional method and polyethylene plastictreatment.The conclusion is mean temperature on the conventional method is 36.305 and the meantemperature on the polyethylene plastic method is 36.65, Mean Difference 0.345.
