Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF CARIES EXPERIENCE AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF V GRADE STUDENTS AT SDN SUKAMAJU 1 TASIKMALAYA CITY ABSTRACT 1Azzahra, 2Kusmana, 3Nugroho Introduction: Dental and oral health is a part of body health that cannot be separated from one another because dental and oral health will affect the health of the body. Dental and oral health status is generally expressed in terms of the prevalence of dental caries using the DMF-T value. The main problem is that many school children suffer from dental caries, this can cause a decrease in children's learning abilities. Research objective: To describe caries experience and learning achievement of fifth graders at SDN Sukamaju 1 Tasikmalaya City. Type of research: The type of research used was descriptive method with a cross-sectional research design, the population in this study were fifth grade students at SDN Sukamaju 1 Tasikmalaya City, totaling 58 people, all populations were used as research samples. The results of the study: The average DMF-T in class V children at SDN Sukamaju 1 was 3.7 with moderate criteria and for the average learning achievement of class V children at SDN Sukamaju 1 was 77 with the sufficient category. Conclusion: That the caries experience of class V students at SDN Sukamaju 1 found that some children had teeth affected by caries, this could have an impact on children's learning achievement.
