Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 or commonly called Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which is a new type of coronavirus that has never been previously identified in humans. The level of knowledge has a function as supporting information on the management of Covid-19 disease. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge of Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya students about the Covid-19 disease and its prevention. The type of research used is quantitative with a descriptive research design. The sampling technique used is Cluster Sampling with the instrument used is a questionnaire about knowledge related to the Covid-19 disease and a questionnaire about the prevention of Covid-19. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistical methods with data processing on a computer with univariate analysis in the form of a frequency distribution. The results showed that Poltekkes Kemenkes Tasikmalaya students had sufficient knowledge (73,75%) about Covid-19 disease, and had good knowledge (83.4%) about Covid-19 prevention.
